LEGACY PROGRESSION
A legacy beyond one character.
How Forever’s account-wide Legacy progression works, what unlocks it, and what returning players should understand before planning alts.
Unlocking the system
Legacy opens when you earn your first Legacy Point. Blizzard says level 25 is the usual first unlock; reaching 150 in a non-gathering primary tradeskill or exploring the whole world can also unlock it.
Earn points across activities
Challenges cover classes, tradeskills, PvP, adventure, dungeons and raids. Points are account-wide for non-Hardcore characters. You are encouraged to explore multiple activities, but you do not need alts to unlock all character advantages.
Spend for the character you are playing
Each character can allocate account points independently across Professions, Adventure and Resourcefulness. The launch spending cap is 16 points per character. More account points therefore do not automatically mean every perk is active on one character.
Rewards and future rulesets
Account progress also unlocks cosmetic rewards. Hardcore is not planned for launch and will have separate Legacy rules when introduced. Do not use the non-Hardcore rules to promise a future Hardcore advantage.
Choose a purpose before spending
Our recommendation is to decide whether a character mainly quests, crafts or participates in groups, then read the current perks for that purpose. Review choices as your goals change rather than treating a beta allocation as a permanent universal answer.
